Erica & Davis

For those who say rain on your wedding day is good luck, Erica and Davis have the brightest of futures! This gorgeous Fall day began with the sun aglow at the most charming old schoolhouse airbnb rental in Huson where these two got ready with their families. I am always gah gah over details but Erika may be the most tasteful bride of ALL time. Beyond the dried florals by the amazing Melissa with Earth Within Flowers, she picked the most stunning timeless gown and jewelry. Davis crafted a cedar chest as his gift to Erica and she knotted him a sweater. So many little meaningful motifs filled this day. The rain made its appearance as we headed to the Lake site they had picked to have their ceremony. Davis and Erica had to change plans due to the Pandemic but this more intimate celebration felt so true to who they are. It rained and rained and rained some more, as these two expressed vows and their families did readings and played songs under a tent and then the handmade arbor made by Davis. The vow book ink streamed as they exchanged them, making the pages unreadable but so damn romantic, and when they danced as newlyweds in the rain my heart nearly exploded from the poetic-ness of it all! I said it was romance at it’s finest. We ventured into the downpour and got the most gorgeous raw, and magical moments of the two lovers and they just took it all in and embraced the cold and wet. Erica and Davis met when she was working at a coffee shop and he eventually worked up the nerve to ask her out. They are very obviously soul mates and it was an honor to be the photographer on this rainy wonderful day! So in love with this couple and happy for them. Congrats Davis and Erica!
