Caitlin & Lucca

It really is true that an outdoor Montana wedding has it’s risks no matter what time of year you choose to get married, because our weather can notoriously changes its mind and breaks the rules. It is also true, that the most successful marriages I see are the ones with the couples who choose to embrace whatever is offered up (be it rain, snow, thunder, or freezing untimely weather) and have the best day in spite of it. Caitlin and Lucca are such a couple, and although their plans had to change due to covid and they ended up with their own backyard as the Venue, they had authentic smiles on their faces that just could not be taken away. In a toast, it was said that Lucca knew he was all in with Cait the first time he noticed her and he never looked back. Caitlin talked about how incredibly ambitious and impressive Lucca is and always has been and how excited she was to continue life with him as her partner. The eyes these two gorgeous people have for each other practically makes actual sparks fly and it was such a delight to take them up to the mountains for a ridiculously romantic rainy day couples session. Caitlin dazzled in her mothers original wedding gown, tailored anew to fit her, and Lucca looked straight out a GQ editorial piece. What a dream! I don’t think I am the only one who thinks dancing in the rain is the actual definition of romance. I can’t say enough about the positive attitude these two have, clearly just contented to be together even in the pouring rain – Cait not even bothered by my asking that she trek through mud and rock in her wedding day heels. The couple curated a lovely cocktail hour at Missoula’s Western Cider, and the group ventured back to their yard for a relaxed but elegant cafe rio dinner. Despite the raindrops that inevitably dampened the guests, the spirits were high and the space aglow with love and joy for these two newlywed soulmates. The toasts were both deeply emotional, as well as cheek hurtingly hilarious. Such a fantastic support system and community these two are a part of. Rue, the couple’s French Bulldog proudly wore the dog of honor sash and the chickens flaunted their custom tutu’s! Such a treat to see it all come together. So happy for you Caitlin and Lucca, congratulations!!
