Claire + Jasper

Have you ever met someone who has such an infectious laugh and smile that it makes those around them follow suit? Claire and Jasper are those people. They both have such an exuberant light about them. They met in New York and have spent a lot of their time over the years up in the wilderness of the Canadian boundary waters. It was on one of these canoe trips that Jasper proposed, followed by a “yes” and an immediate hand in hand jump off the cliff into the river below. Thus the personalized sunglasses on each table with the phrase “and with a might leap”!

Claires parents recently bought a house in Whitefish, Montana and it was here that the celebration took place. The couple ambitiously integrated the wedding into their move from Minnesota to LA and it turned out to be a perfect tucked away place to bring everyone together. Also a great spot for a camping wedding with sweeping views of the mountains outside of Whitefish and ample space for all of the days activities. Friends and family traveled from all over the States, some even by way of train all the way from New York. Their ceremony was short and sweet, including their own written vows, a poem recited by their friend Wiley and ending with a celebratory stomping of a glass in true jewish tradition.

Beautiful arrangements from Betsy’s Blossoms and Gardens filled the handmade vases (made by Claire’s mother) that adorned the dinner tables – they made for incredibly thoughtful keepsakes for guests. Throughout the day everyone kept telling stories about how Claire herself is always creating something, this fact being epically demonstrated by a very large and beautiful handmade owl hung on the barn for the day.

These guys have already accomplished so much together and I have no doubt they will continue to thrive in love and success. Montana showed them her true colors with a warm blue sky summer day and a crazy evening storm that followed, nearly taking the tent with it. Even with all the heavy wind and rain and a large dead snag breaking off right by the ceremony space the party kept on going! Nothing was stopping this crew from enjoying the day, adventurous souls indeed (: Congratulations Claire and Jasper! Continue to keep your infectious love of life at the forefront of everything you two do and you’ll continue to change lives and do amazing things together!
