Claire & Alex

Corvallis MT – Teller Wildlife Refuge

Claire and Alex put together a gorgeous wedding that felt like a garden party of my dreams. The weather, flower blooms, decorations and overall feeling of joy filled the day with an overwhelming sense of “meant to be”. The day was made even more sweet by the fact that these two have been postponing for much longer than they intended and were finally able to celebrate with their families and loved ones at Teller Wildlife Refuge in Corvallis, Montana. Alex and Claire are some of the most genuine couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with, and I have never before had a couple tell me that a priority of their photos is capturing quality shots for each of their vendors to use for personal use because they are the kind of people who become friends with everyone. They built meaningful connections with each vendor which is really something special and speaks to the hearts of gold we are talking about here. These two lovers met as seasonal park ranger volunteers at the Grand Canyon 9 year ago. Like all of the best love stories they began as friends and grew into more when they were distanced. After Claire got her masters they finally reunited in Missoula for a new job and moved in together after doing long distance for 3 years. They connected first as friends and then on their love of the outdoors, and respect for each other’s hobbies – Gardening for Claire, cooking for Alex and brewery patio sitting for the two of them (: A testament to their passion for being outside, Alex proposed in the most romantic way I can imagine, while huckleberry picking! Their day was joyous, festive and warm and featured a phenomenal “cookie table” orchestrated by Alex’s lovely mother Sandy and others. This depression era tradition has been passed down through the family and was a sight to behold. This perfect June day was brought together perfectly by these two with help from their families, Emily Summers Planning, Full bushel farm, and their friends. It could not have been more perfect, even ending with a never before seen stuffed “cat toss” in place of the bouquet. Congratulations Claire and Alex!!
