Tessa & Warren

Tessa and Warren are the kind of people that make you feel warm and welcome as soon as you meet them. Being around them is like getting a big hug and they are just the best. Their wedding was originally planned as a larger event but like so many, it was downsized due to the pandemic but truly ended up being all the more magical and intimate. I’m not sure I’ve ever heard such a storybook love story or been so moved by a vow reading. We should all aspire to be so kind and loving to each other as these two are. Their first date (that Tessa was sure would last 30 minutes) turned into hours of conversation, laughter and instant connection. The two did a year of long distance (and 13 hour time difference) dating that included Warren leaving New York to visit Tessa in the small Japanese town she lived in. It was a record breaking winter in Japan and the two had a crazy time experiencing an amazing thunder snow storm. One of many wild adventures the two have shared. Warren planned to propose in front of Tessa’s favorite Gingko tree in front of their home, but yet another storm blew all of the yellow leaves off it and thwarted his romantic plan. Making a bad situation even more romantic than his original plan, Warren collected the fallen leaves and pressed them into a book he gave Tessa just before he got down on a knee. The story gets even more romantic believe it or not, when Tessa had her hands and palms decorated on the wedding day with Henna featuring Gingko leaves as an homage to their story. Absolutely beautiful! The ceremony featured the Indian Traditions of the placing of the manthrakodi, and the tying of the thali. As a multicultural couple, they are especially grateful for their families welcoming them each with open arms. Warren has already mastered eating rice and curry with his hands and Tessa found a new love for the wilderness during her first trip to Montana in 2020. While New York is where they built the beginning of their story, they are excited to start the new chapter in Philly! Congratulations to the beautiful Tessa and Warren!
