Leah & Matt

Every once in a while I am fortunate enough to do the photography for a Wedding that has incredibly special non-traditional elements that blow everyone away and just work. Leah and Matt curated their wedding to their style without following the conventional rules of what a wedding should look like and I could not have been more excited to be a part of it as the documenter.  Jane, my amazing assistant, actually teared up when she saw Leah in her handmade all black dress that was carefully created by her mother and Matt in his crispy white suit. So dang gorgeous! It had me wishing I could do my own wedding all over again and could have had this idea. Not only were the Bride and Groom uniquely decorated, but the reception barn was dotted with creative gothic touches. We ventured to the nearby park which was aglow on this late October day, and Matt and Leah had a perfect private first look before we got photos of the entire wedding party together. Seeing these two together and hearing their love story gave us all the warm fuzzy’s. It’s obvious they love and connect with each other the way every person wants to feel with their partner! I nearly died getting portraits of Leah with her black lipstick and unreal fairytale hair on the beach of the Clarkfork River. The colors were still popping from their Fall ritual and the sun glowed down on the soon to married couple and didn’t stop glowing all day. Matthew’s family flew in from Hawaii to celebrate and both families were overjoyed to see them marry in Leah’s hometown of Missoula. So much warmth and love, huge congrats to Leah and Matthew, your day was perfect!!
