Engagement Sessions are included in Collections II, III and IV

They can also be added to Collection I or booked alone for
$500

These sessions can take place anytime before the Wedding Day. Usually they happen near the beginning of the planning process so the photos can be used for save the dates or invitations but there are no rules! I work with my clients to choose a location (indoors or out) that fits what you envision.

These are a fun way to connect and get to know each other so you can both feel more comfortable with me as your photographer on the wedding day. I will walk you through fun prompts and some posing to get a dynamic variety of images for you to choose fro. We will walk through both playful and serious, more posed shots.

I am always enthusiastically open to any creative ideas (unique theme, location, props, etc) that will make the photos feel authentically you. I am always up for an adventure session as well, these can be fun with a more dramatic outfit and we can hike to a beautiful location and send some more time getting those epic photos.

An outfit change is welcome but keep in mind a lot of the locations outdoors won't have easy access to a changing room so bring something you can change into easily. I am a big fan of outdoor outfit changes as long as you are! Even just switched up accessories or jacket can be a nice idea for variety.

Decide what feel you'd like for your engagement photo collection. Do you want these to be casual? Do you want an excuse to buy a new beautiful gown (yes please)?! Once you have a vision you can decide on an outfit and a possible 2nd outfit to change into half way through the hour long session.

Things to avoid:

Other than that just wear what you feel great in! Checking out Pinterest can be a fun way to get inspiration. I am a fan of all things cream and white and light colored and flowy, but mostly I am a fan of you feeling your best. If you feel good you can't go wrong!

What to Wear

Booking an engagement session is great not only for your Save The Dates, website and commemorating this special time in your life but also for connecting with your wedding photographer so you know what to expect on your wedding day.

Neon colors (these don't read well)
Stripes that are too close together (they create a strange effect)

WHAT TO BRING

An outfit/accessory  change if you want
A favorite Blanket
Any special props that feel like you (guitar, bouquet, champagne, bike, boat, compostable glitter, colored smoke bomb, whatever)! Just give me a heads up on props so I can plan (:
