I was lucky enough to get to photograph Alexa and Brandon’s vibrant Fall wedding a few weeks ago. These two are so sweet and absolutely enamored with each other. They chose to get married at the famed Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish. Anyone who is familiar with Montana knows that September is full of perfect fall days. This day was one of those; glimpses of sunshine scattered throughout the day, not too hot, enough wind to keep everyone on their toes and the perfect fall colors and crisp air to make the location and decorations pop! It was obvious how much hard work everyone put into making sure the day was incredible. These two are the ultimate adventure couple. Not only because Brandon proposed while on a hike along the Highline trail in Glacier National Park but they have already been through so many adventurous choices together (She’s a nurse and he’s an engineer and avid hunter). The whole day was so fun and full of love and family. Brandon’s family farm has played an important role throughout their relationship and part of it even made an appearance at the wedding. Their ceremony took place in a forested nook at the side of the lodge. They promised forever under a big beautiful arch made out of wood from the Graff family farm, fabulous flowers from Conrad Floral and antlers from Brandons hunting adventures. Trisha from Repeat Boutique did an amazing job with coordinating all of the days details and making sure everything went as smooth as possible. One of my favorite parts of the whole day was their first look. A first look isn’t for everyone but I am so glad that they chose to do one because it was such a sincere and emotional moment! They had a dazzling royal blue Corvette escort each of them individually to Whitefish lake. Brandon was overcome with emotion upon seeing Alexa and was overwhelmed by her gorgeousness. Tears were flowing! She was a breathtaking bride. She stunned their guests with an elegant updo and the same headpiece that her mother wore on her own wedding day. Family is important to these two and it was truly palpable the entire day. Patti & Paul Daskalos both made touching speeches about how much it meant to Alexa and Brandon that so many of their friends and family could be there to celebrate with them. And it was a lot of people! It meant the world to them to have so many of their loved ones there and it turned into quite the party as everyone celebrated together. The night ended with an epic glow stick exit as the couple made their way down the tunnel of all their favorite people and danced the whole way.
